I’m Jenna, the candle artist behind Cold Moon Candle Co. I hand-pour candles in NJ, bringing together natural waxes, botanical shapes, and a love of candle magick.

A name with a personal connection

The Cold Moon is a name for December’s full moon. December is also my birth month, giving the name a personal place in the story of this shop. It connects the candles to the season, the moon, and the quiet presence of light during long nights.

What I make

My collection moves between simple ritual tapers, flowers shaped in wax, sculpted skulls, and seasonal fragrance. I want each piece to feel at home on an altar while still being beautiful enough to bring into everyday spaces.

The details matter: the texture of beeswax, the way a raised flower catches the light, the shade chosen for a pair of tapers. I make candles for people who bring meaning to those small choices.

The hands behind the candle

I pour in small batches and work with natural waxes, selecting different materials for different candle designs. Materials sourced from local and small businesses keep the making connected to the community around me.

Testing is part of the craft, too. I pay attention to how a candle burns as well as how it looks, and the collection continues to develop through making, testing, and refining.
